Marketing Plan

A marketing plan may be part of an overall business plan., and is  a written document that details the necessary actions to achieve one or more marketing objectives. It can cover one year (referred to as an annual marketing plan), or cover up to 5 years. Solid marketing strategy is the foundation of a well-written marketing plan….meaning, you can’t just “WING-it”!! While a marketing plan contains a list of actions, a marketing plan without a sound strategic foundation is of little use. To achieve the maximum impact, the marketing plan must be clear, concise and simple. The starting point of the marketing plan must be the consumer. …put yourself in their shoes to determine exactly what it is that they want ….mainly so that you can see how to meet those needs! This stage in marketing planning is indeed the key to the whole marketing process!The final stage of any marketing planning process is to establish targets (or standards) so that progress can be monitored….anything worth doing is worth tracking! And just like you never launch out on vacation without a plan or a map….your Marketing Plan will guide you to your sales goals and objectives!
